China, Indonesia to expand cooperation
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with Indonesian Vice President Yusuf Kalla in Beijing on Friday, calling for expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking positively of the China-Indonesia relations, Wen said he hopes the two sides could work out an action plan on their strategic partnership at an early date, to make a comprehensive and systematic plan for cooperation in all fields.
China and Indonesia could hold an energy forum to push forward bilateral cooperation on energy conservation, environmental protection and development of renewable energy sources, Wen proposed during the meeting.
Echoing Wen's remarks, Kalla said the relations between Indonesia and China have developed smoothly with fruitful cooperation in various fields.
Indonesia appreciates China's support to Indonesia in its development of infrastructure and agriculture, said Kalla, adding his country would like to absorb China's experience on economic development.
Indonesia will make joint efforts with China to further expand mutually-beneficial cooperation, Kalla said.
