China-Arab Cooperation Continues to Develop in Various Fields
Cairo (ANTARA) - Since the first China-Arab States Summit in 2022, China and the Arab side have taken the goal of building a China-Arab community with a shared future in the new era as their guiding principle, advancing cooperation in various fields, according to a report by the Xinhua think tank released here on Wednesday.
As a new wave of global scientific and technological revolution accelerates alongside industrial transformation, China is actively cooperating with Arab countries to develop flagship cooperation projects in the field of innovation, states the report titled “Achievements, Opportunities, and Prospects of China-Arab Cooperation in the New Era,” released by the Xinhua Institute, a think tank affiliated with Xinhua News Agency.
China is actively transferring advanced and applicable technologies to Arab countries, the report explains, citing the China-assisted livestock technology demonstration centre in Mauritania as an example. The centre has successfully cultivated nearly 1,000 mu (approximately 67 hectares) of fodder crops on the edge of the Sahara Desert, transforming barren land into an oasis.
Meanwhile, China has collaborated with several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Oman, and Morocco, to jointly develop a number of high-standard science and industrial zones, the report adds.
