China Announces Top 500 Private Enterprises for 2026
Tianjin (ANTARA) - China on Tuesday (22/9) released the list of the country’s top 500 private enterprises for the year 2026, with 110 companies recording operating revenues of more than 100 billion yuan (1 yuan = Rp2,660), confirming strong growth in China’s private sector.
JD.com, Alibaba (China) Co., Ltd., and Hengli Group Co., Ltd. maintained the top three positions, according to the list of China’s Top 500 Private Enterprises for 2026 announced by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) in Tianjin, northern China.
This list marks the 28th large-scale private enterprise survey conducted by the ACFIC. A total of 6,350 companies, each with operating revenues exceeding 1 billion yuan in 2025, participated in this year’s survey, with the top 500 companies based on revenue successfully making the list.
The survey indicates that in 2025, China’s private enterprises continued to enhance their innovation capacity, operational efficiency, and core competitiveness, reflecting an overall trend towards higher-quality new development.
The top 500 private enterprises recorded a total operating revenue of 44.93 trillion yuan in 2025, an increase of 4.35 per cent from the previous year. They also recorded a combined total net profit of 1.83 trillion yuan, with 17 companies each recording a net profit of over 20 billion yuan.
Manufacturing companies included in the top 500 private enterprises list recorded total operating revenues of 32.22 trillion yuan, experiencing a year-on-year (yoy) increase of 8.73 per cent.
These leading companies are actively positioning themselves within emerging strategic industrial sectors and future industries. Of the companies providing relevant data, 311 companies invested in 679 emerging strategic industrial projects, and 82 companies launched 112 future industry projects.
In terms of innovation, the top 500 companies providing relevant data recorded total research and development (R&D) expenditure of 1.26 trillion yuan, with average R&D investment reaching 2.95 per cent of total revenue, according to the survey results.
Furthermore, the top 500 enterprises paid 1.3 trillion yuan in taxes last year, with 254 of them each paying more than 1 billion yuan in taxes.
