China and US Ready to Expand Cooperation on Principles of Mutual Respect
Jakarta (ANTARA) - China has stated its readiness to develop cooperation and resolve differences with the United States based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit. This was conveyed by spokesperson Guo Jiakun of China’s Foreign Ministry during a press conference on Wednesday. “China is ready to work with the United States to expand cooperation and address differences in the spirit of equality, respect, and mutual benefit, as well as to provide more stability and certainty for the changing and turbulent world,” he said. According to the spokesperson, Beijing welcomes the state visit of US President Donald Trump to China, where the two national leaders will exchange in-depth views on crucial issues related to Sino-US relations, global peace, and development. US President Trump’s state visit to China began on Wednesday and will last until 15 May.
