China and US Engage in Open, Constructive Dialogue in South Korea on Economy

Seoul (ANTARA) - Delegations from China and the United States on Wednesday (13/5) held an open, in-depth, and constructive exchange of views in South Korea regarding economic and trade issues of mutual interest, as well as efforts to expand cooperation. China’s Vice Premier He Lifeng, who is also the primary person in charge of China-US economic and trade affairs, and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, as the primary person in charge for the US side, led the consultations. Guided by the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, both sides upheld the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and mutually beneficial cooperation.
