China and Spain deepen cooperation in industrial chain innovation

Beijing (ANTARA) - China’s Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao stated on Wednesday that China is willing to work with Spain to strengthen strategic alignment and policy coordination, improve the business environment, and promote deeper corporate cooperation in technological innovation as well as industrial and supply chains. The two countries can advance more major projects in sectors such as new energy vehicles, smart manufacturing, as well as photovoltaic and wind energy, which will bring benefits to companies and people in both nations, Wang said at the China-Spain Innovative Enterprises Exchange Conference. He added that economic and trade relations between the two countries have grown steadily with the deepening integration of industrial chains, demonstrating strong complementarity and stability. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated at the conference that bilateral relations are at their best point in history, with deep cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, green energy, industrial manufacturing, and technological innovation. Spain welcomes more Chinese companies to invest and do business in Spain, he said, adding that he looks forward to increased strategic collaboration between the business communities of both countries. The conference brought together more than 100 representatives from Chinese and Spanish companies. Participants shared experiences of cooperation and discussed research and development in technology as well as investment cooperation.
