Beijing (ANTARA) – China’s Ministry of Commerce on Tuesday added 20 Japanese entities, including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Shipbuilding Co., to its export control list to protect national security and interests, and to fulfil international obligations such as non-proliferation. Exporters are prohibited from exporting dual-use items to these 20 entities. Organisations and individuals outside of China are prohibited from transferring or providing dual-use items originating from China to these 20 entities. Any ongoing related activities must be immediately stopped, according to an announcement released by the ministry. On the same day, China’s Ministry of Commerce also added 20 Japanese entities to its monitoring list because the end-users and end-use of their dual-use items cannot be verified.
