Chilli prices double, Central Sulawesi provincial government prepares cheap markets
Chilli prices at several markets in Central Sulawesi have reached Rp105,000 to Rp170,000 per kilogram due to reduced supply from major production areas following dry weather conditions influenced by the El Nino phenomenon.
Head of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Industry and Trade Office (Disperindag), Richard Arnaldo Djanggola, when met on Monday (7/9), said his office is strengthening coordination with agriculture offices at both the provincial and regency/city levels, and is also preparing cheap markets at a number of locations this month.
