Chili's restaurant starts operating
JAKARTA (JP): Chili's, a restaurant which offers a combination of Texas-Mexican taste, on the second floor of the Sarinah Building on Jl. Thamrin, Central Jakarta, has started operating.
The restaurant was officially opened by Minister of Tourism, Post and Telecommunication Joop Ave and Minister of Trade Satrio B. Joedono on Friday.
Joop said is his opening speech that with a variety of restaurants that serve difference menus, foreign tourists, as well as domestic tourists, have a wider choice.
"This of course supports Indonesian tourism and increases the country's foreign exchange," said Joop.
"Based of a survey, Chili's is always received with a warm welcome," Norman Brinker, the chief executive officer of Brinker International Inc., which owns the restaurant, said.
Chili's visitors enjoy Chili's not only because of the food that is served, but also for its experience and reputation, that exists throughout the world, he said.
Brinker, and a number of other executives, came specially from America and Singapore to participate in Chili's official opening in Indonesia. (hhr)
