Children's congress moves to Bali

JAKARTA: Thousands of children are scheduled to flock to Bali
next week to attend the third Congress of Indonesian Children
from Jan. 24 to Jan. 30.

National Commission for Children's Protection (Komnas PA)
chairman Seto Mulyadi said in a statement that the children would
hold several events and discuss some issues with related
ministers during the congress.

He said that the children would also meet governors of West
Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Central Java and Jakarta, to become
familiar with the recently endorsed Law No. 23/2002 on the
protection of children.

The children will also have a dialog with State Minister of
the Environment Nabiel Makarim and Minister of Maritime Affairs
and Fisheries Rokhmin Dahuri in Kuta Beach, Bali.

To express their love for peace and art, Seto said that the
children would also make a peaceful resolution and host an art
exhibition on Jl. Legian in Kuta. --JP
