Children see X-rated films

SEMARANG, Central Java: Many movie house operators in the city are violating the age limit by allowing children under 17 years of age to watch X-rated movies, according to a consumer protection agency.

Spokesman for the Consumers' Protection and Supervision Agency Teguh Sudarisman said that a survey of the movie houses in the last two weeks showed that between five to 15 percent of the total seats at any screening are sold to minors.

He said, ironically, some minors came with their parents to watch X-rated movies.

Teguh said this is in violation of the 1992 law on film regulations. (pwn)
