Children Fill School Holidays Without Gadgets
A number of children played the traditional game bakiak during an event called ‘Healthy Cheerful Holidays Without Handphones’ at the Omah Alas Art and Culture Studio in Kandri Tourism Village, Gunungpati, Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday (9/7/2026). The studio organised activities filled with traditional games such as stilts (egrang), bakiak, and gobag sodor, as well as mask colouring, to reduce children’s exposure to gadgets during the school holidays, while also introducing Nusantara culture, developing creativity, and strengthening social interaction.
