Chief of Traffic Corps Position Officially Handed Over from Irjen Agus to Irjen Wibowo

The Indonesian National Police’s Traffic Corps (Korlantas) officially held a handover ceremony for the position of Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) from Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho to Inspector General Wibowo at the NTMC Polri field in Jakarta on Saturday. Agus stated that the various achievements during his leadership were the result of cooperation, cohesiveness, and a sense of belonging built within Korlantas. “There are many things I did at Korlantas Polri that were not optimal. But thanks to togetherness, cohesiveness, and the sense of belonging we built, many achievements were carved together,” he said. He also apologised to all personnel if any policies, directives, or actions were displeasing or offensive during his tenure. He emphasised that the leadership succession is not the end of service and expressed optimism that under Irjen Wibowo’s leadership, Korlantas Polri will progress further and continue the transformation programmes that have been initiated. “The most important thing is that we change the face of the traffic police, making them closer to the community and accepted by the community, both in attitude, behaviour, and the way we speak,” he said. He also invited all personnel to maintain cohesiveness and professionalism in serving the public.
