Chicken used to protest KKN

DENPASAR (JP): Deputy head of Bali Prosecutor's Office Soediro was presented with a chicken by a group of demonstrators expressing displeasure at the office's slow investigations into corruption, collusion and corruption (KKN) in the province.

"I am sorry. I do not eat meat," Soediro said, rejecting the chicken from the leader of the People's Anti-KKN Movement, Widiana Kepakisan.

Widiana said the government prosecutors were scared of investigating an alleged land scam in Pecatu involving former Bali governor Ida Bagus Oka.

"Please give us two months time to prove that we our serious in enforcing the law," Soediro appealed to the angry protesters. (zen)
