Chicken sales suffer from slow business
BANDA ACEH, Aceh: Demand for chicken meat and ducks has been decreasing in the past few days after bid flu cases were discovered in Banda Aceh.
Normally vendors sold around 30 chickens each a day but sales had dropped by up to half, they said.
"The situation is getting worse," Nurdin, a chicken trader in a Banda Aceh market, said.
A report by a government official on Friday said several chickens in a farm in the city had tested positive for the bird flu virus. -- Antara
