Chicago for Ribs open in Jakarta

JAKARTA (JP): Chicago for Ribs is now open at the BRI II
building, Jl. Jend. Sudirman, adding a new restaurant to the
city.

The restaurant, which began operations on Saturday, is managed
by PT Indoribs Nusantara, holder of the Chicago for Ribs
franchise license for the Asia-Pacific region.

Decky Gunawan, the director of PT Indoribs, said that he is
convinced that the new restaurant, which specializes in serving
ribs dishes in a cozy art-deco style dining room, will be able to
attract Jakarta food lovers.

"But we are not competing with other places serving similar
menus. We just offer alternatives for restaurant goers," he said.

He said that the company plans to open other outlets in
several major cities throughout Indonesia, and a number of Asian
countries such as Singapore and Hong Kong. (raw)
