Chery's global sales exceed 160,000 vehicles in February
Chery, a Chinese automaker, posted positive sales in February 2026 in the export segment, rising by 41.5% to 160,765 vehicles. The company’s official release on Thursday (5 March) stated that this achievement further demonstrates the strong global competitiveness of the Chinese automotive brand through what is often called ‘Chery Speed’. The strategy to market their vehicles on the international stage has also borne fruit. Chery is also noted as the first Chinese manufacturer to win the trust of 6.09 million customers. If accumulated comprehensively, the number of Chery vehicle users to date has reached 18.89 million both in their domestic market in China and customers residing outside China. The hard work of Chery in international markets is inseparable from the increasingly aggressive efforts of management in introducing their vehicles in more than 130 countries and in markets with strict regulations, including Europe and strategic markets in Australia. In the Indonesian market itself, Chery has also experienced quite brilliant growth. Throughout 2025, Chery recorded growth in various powertrain categories, with increases of 2,900 units in the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) segment, 5,500 units in HEV/PHEV, and 2,900 units in EV.
