Chery Targets Global NEV Market Through Lepas
JAKARTA - The Auto China 2026 event serves as an influential global automotive stage featuring various brands and their latest product lineups.
Chery Group has emerged as one of the highlights through Lepas, its newest premium New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brand, which introduces its NEV strategy and global product portfolio, including the E6 EV, E4 EV, and L6 PHEV.
This presence also signifies Lepas’s readiness in three main aspects: brand, products, and global network, as well as the initiation of a crucial phase called the “Year of Delivery”.
The strategy introduced aligns with the global NEV market’s shift towards value-based growth, where consumer needs extend beyond technical performance such as range or acceleration.
According to the executive, users increasingly prioritise more personal, intuitive, and lifestyle-relevant mobility experiences. To address this change, Lepas positions itself as the Preferred Brand for Elegant Mobility Life.
“In the current NEV era, brands must deliver ease, intuitive technology, and a more relaxed and comfortable driving experience. Lepas is built to understand users’ real needs in everyday life,” said Lepas CEO, Zhai Xiaobing.
The three models introduced by Lepas as the foundation of the Year of Delivery are designed with an intelligent platform known as the LEX Platform.
Equipped with 160 kW power and a range of up to 500 kilometres (km), the Lepas E4 EV, which will soon arrive in Indonesia, is claimed to be an urban mobility solution. The vehicle not only features a dynamic design but is also equipped with the latest technologies, including 21 ADAS features and connectivity.
The Lepas E6 EV presents urban mobility enhanced with technologies such as VPD, H-NOA, Bosch IPB 2.0, and AI Agent. This vehicle is said to deliver an integrated driving experience, from driving to in-cabin interactions. Meanwhile, the PHEV version is offered as a flexible option for both city and long-distance use.
