Chery Indonesia recorded 3,500 vehicle order forms (SPK) during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, held from 30 July to 9 August. The figure represents a 62.56 per cent increase compared with the 2,153 SPK achieved at GIIAS 2025.

The Chery Q was the largest contributor, accounting for 1,750 SPK or approximately 50 per cent of total orders during the exhibition. The electric vehicle model was launched in Indonesia on 31 July 2026 and became one of the products that drew significant visitor attention throughout the show.

In addition to recording the highest number of orders, the Chery Q was also the model most frequently tested by visitors through test drive sessions. Of approximately 2,000 test drive sessions across Chery’s entire portfolio, around 1,355 sessions, or 67.7 per cent, involved the Chery Q.

Vice Country Director of Chery Business Unit Budi Darmawan Jantania said the achievement demonstrates consumer response to Chery’s new product. “The Chery Q is the main contributor to the SPK achievement as well as the model most frequently tested by visitors,” Budi said.

According to Budi, the results also serve as evaluation material for Chery in assessing the development of consumer interest in electric vehicles in Indonesia. Besides the Chery Q, several other models also attracted visitor attention through test drive sessions during the exhibition.

The models most frequently tested after the Chery Q included the TIGGO 8 CSH, TIGGO Cross, J6T, and J6T CSH. These four models represent several segments within Chery’s portfolio, ranging from family SUVs and compact SUVs to vehicles featuring electrification technology.
