Chery QQ3 EV Poised to Compete with Geely EX2

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Chery Automobile is set to introduce its latest compact electric vehicle, the QQ3 EV, to the Chinese market as a competitor to the bestselling electric vehicle in its segment, the Geely EX2.

According to reports from Carnewschina on Monday, the QQ3 features a more modern exterior design, including sleeker headlights and a closed-grille style characteristic of electric vehicles.

From the official images released, the Chery QQ3 EV adopts a new design language with large oval-shaped front and rear lights, semi-concealed door handles, and a slightly tilted D-pillar.

The vehicle’s dimensions are 4195/1811/1569 mm with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

As additional information, the QQ3 EV is 60 mm longer, 6 mm wider, and 1 mm lower than the aforementioned Geely EX2.

The gear lever is positioned behind a two-spoke steering wheel. The vehicle’s centre console features physical control buttons, wireless phone charging pads, and two cup holders.

The QQ3 EV’s infotainment system is equipped with a Snapdragon 8155 chip and AI-powered voice assistant.

The base QQ3 EV model features an electric motor on the rear axle with output of 58 kW (78 horsepower).

The more powerful variant delivers peak output of 90 kW (121 horsepower).

This compact vehicle is available with two LFP battery options: 29.5 and 41.3 kWh.

The CLTC range is 310–420 km.

Although the official price of this vehicle remains undisclosed, the QQ3 EV can be reserved at a price of 99 yuan (USD 14.40) or approximately IDR 242,000.

This payment will be converted into a discount of 999 yuan (USD 146) or approximately IDR 2.4 million after the vehicle goes on sale.
