Chery Q Targets Rp 200 Million EV Market, Check the Specifications

PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has officially announced the pricing for the Chery Q electric vehicle at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The model, previously known as the QQ3 EV in the Chinese market, is positioned to compete in the electric vehicle segment with a price tag in the Rp 200 million range.

The Chery Q is marketed in two variants: the Pure, with a normal price of Rp 249.9 million, and the Rizz, priced at Rp 269.9 million on the road (OTR) Jakarta. However, during the GIIAS 2026 event, running from 30 July to 9 August, the company is offering a discount of Rp 10 million, bringing the price of the Chery Q Pure down to Rp 239.9 million and the Chery Q Rizz to Rp 259.9 million OTR Jakarta.

Budi Darmawan Jantania, Vice Country Director of the Chery Business Unit at Chery Sales Indonesia, stated that these prices are an extension of the previously opened pre-booking programme. “So, the lower prices are available until the end of GIIAS,” said Budi at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, on Friday (31/7/2026).

He added that customers who have made early bookings will receive delivery priority based on their queue, as the ordering system is conducted online. “First come, first served; we will serve buyers who have placed orders previously,” Budi noted.

This electric vehicle features dimensions of 4,195 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width, 1,573 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The cabin space is claimed to accommodate five passengers, with 977 mm of rear legroom and 985 mm of headroom.

Chery also offers a rear boot capacity of up to 1,450 litres, a 70-litre frunk complete with a drain valve, and a total of 38 storage compartments within the cabin to support daily needs.

In terms of performance, the Chery Q is equipped with a front-wheel-drive electric motor producing 122 PS or 90 kW of power with 115 Nm of torque. Energy is supplied by a 42.7 kWh battery, which is claimed to achieve a range of up to 400 kilometres based on NEDC testing.

Charging capabilities are also a key selling point. Utilising DC fast charging technology, the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in approximately 16.5 minutes. The car is also equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality with a capacity of 6.6 kW.

With the announced pricing, the Chery Q enters the competitive arena of compact electric vehicles in Indonesia. The model will face competition from several players in the same class, such as the Geely EX2, Aion UT, and Ora 03, alongside other electric models targeting consumers with budgets in the Rp 200 million range.
