Chery Q Opens for Pre-Booking, Priced Around Rp200 Million
Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has introduced its latest model, the Chery Q, to the Indonesian market. The launch took place in Jakarta on the evening of Monday, 18 May 2026. Fans of the five-seat compact electric vehicle can already pre-book, though Chery has not yet announced the official price, with an estimated price around Rp200 million.
‘Chery Indonesia has officially opened the pre-booking period for the Chery Q for Indonesian consumers, and bookings can be made online on our official website,’ said Budi Darmawan Jantania, Vice Country Director of the Chery Business Unit, in Jakarta on Monday.
Chery will reveal the full price of the car in the near future, while the initial ordering period has been opened and will run until 15 July 2026 with no maximum quota.
Customers who order during that period will receive a special ‘Sigma Package’. The package includes features a power tailgate (automatic opening and closing of the boot), autonomous parking assist (smart parking technology), 17-inch wheels (43.18 cm) with a special design, and external communication audio. According to Chery, these four additions are valued at around Rp40 million.
Country Director of Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI), Zeng Shuo, said the compact electric car will be produced locally, and deliveries to customers’ garages are expected in the third quarter of this year. ‘We estimate delivery in Q3. All Chery products are produced here, including the Chery Q,’ he added.
In appearance, the vehicle is compact, with a silhouette that blends angular and rounded lines to look dynamic and modern.
The Chinese manufacturer also offers a range of cabin accessories that can be personalised to the owner’s preferences. Chery indicates the car can cover around 400 km on a full battery, based on the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) standard. It features fast charging capable of elevating from 30% to 80% in 16.5 minutes.
According to Chinese market specifications, the model measures 4,195 mm x 1,811 mm x 1,574 mm with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, and rear legroom of 977 mm.
For practicality, the Chery Q offers rear boot capacity of up to 1,450 litres plus 70 litres of front storage, making it not merely a stylish compact electric vehicle but also a functional tool for daily needs.
In addition to its compact design and practicality to support daily mobility, the Chery Q is equipped with a smart driving system and a spacious interior to support comfort.
