Chery Q offers a range of safety features
The Chery Q electric vehicle offers various safety features, including a robust frame and driver assistance systems designed to help drivers travel safely and comfortably. Budi Darmawan Jantania, Vice Country Director of Chery Business Unit, stated that the Chery Q features a strong body structure, active safety features, and visual technology to enhance safety during daily use. ‘The model features a Super Safe Frame structure with 82% high-strength steel in its frame,’ he said, as quoted in the company’s press release on Friday. He added that the vehicle is equipped with 20 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features designed to assist drivers in safely and comfortably navigating urban environments. ADAS features include lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, collision warning system, and vehicle surroundings monitoring. The cabin, with a 2,700mm wheelbase, offers ample space and a large infotainment screen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Six airbags are provided in the cabin to enhance protection during collisions. The Chery Q has a range of up to 400km according to the manufacturer. The electric vehicle supports fast charging, with a 30% to 80% charge taking 16.5 minutes.
