Chery Opens Third Dealership in Medan, Preparing Services for EV and Hybrid Models
Chery has expanded its sales and after-sales network in North Sumatra with the inauguration of Chery ADS Gatsu Medan on Friday (18/09/2026). This dealership marks Chery’s 82nd network in Indonesia and is the third dealership for the Chinese brand in the city of Medan.
Developed alongside PT Auto Dinamik Sentosa (ADS), Chery ADS Gatsu Medan adopts the 3S concept, covering sales, service, and spare parts. The presence of this dealership aims to broaden consumer access to Chery products and services in Medan and the surrounding regions.
Budi Darmawan Jantania, Vice Country Director of Chery Business Unit, stated that the expansion in Medan is being carried out in line with market growth and consumer demand in North Sumatra. “The addition of this third dealership in Medan expands sales and after-sales access, increases service capacity, and provides a closer and more convenient ownership experience for consumers,” Budi said in an official statement on Saturday (19/09/2026).
Chery ADS Gatsu Medan is located on Jalan Gatot Subroto No. 107, Sei Sikambing, Medan Sunggal District. The location is situated in one of Medan’s main corridors, an area with high automotive activity.
In terms of facilities, the dealership features a service area with a capacity of seven stalls. These facilities include three two-post lifts and one scissor lift to support periodic maintenance, repairs, as well as warranty claims and spare parts services.
The dealership is also equipped with wall charging stations to support electrified vehicle services, including electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrids. With these facilities, Chery ADS Gatsu Medan can handle vehicles featuring internal combustion engine (ICE) technology, Chery Super Hybrid (CSH), and electric vehicles (EV).
Andee Y Yoestong, President Director of PT Auto Dinamik Sentosa, noted that the characteristics of Medan consumers were a key consideration in determining the dealership’s location. According to him, consumers consider not only vehicle design and technology but also durability and support for family needs.
“Therefore, we chose Jalan Gatot Subroto in the city centre as the dealership location because it is in an area with high automotive activity and is easily accessible,” said Andee.
In addition to the service area, Chery ADS Gatsu Medan provides a showroom displaying various lines of Chery vehicles. The displayed products include the TIGGO Series with ICE and hybrid technology options, C5, E5, J6 Series, and the Chery Q as an electric vehicle for urban mobility.
The dealership also provides several supporting facilities, including a Premium Lounge, Wi-Fi, a snack and beverage bar, a prayer room (mushola), body repair services, and a kids’ corner. These facilities are intended to support consumer needs during product consultations or while waiting for vehicle maintenance.
With the opening of Chery ADS Gatsu Medan, consumers in the region now have additional access to sales services, periodic maintenance, repairs, warranties, and official Chery spare parts.
