Chery Opens Opportunities to Introduce Premium Lines Luxeed and Exeed in Indonesia
WUHU, KOMPAS.com – Chery Group Indonesia has confirmed that it will continue to expand its product portfolio in the country, including introducing brand lines that compete in higher classes such as Luxeed and Exeed.
President Director of Chery Group Indonesia, Zeng Shuo, stated that this step aligns with the company’s strategy, which already has a complete product line from entry-level to premium.
“Globally, we have many products from entry-level to premium brands, such as the one you mentioned, Luxeed,” said Zeng during an interview session at the Chery International Business Summit 2026 in Wuhu, China, on Tuesday (28/4/2026).
That brand carries the slogan “I drive, you enjoy”, which reflects a driving experience based on intelligent technology.
“‘I’ can mean me, but also intelligence, so Luxeed focuses on enhancing the driving experience with AI and the latest autonomous technology. But I think that will happen in the future,” he said.
Zeng emphasised that the implementation of that technology still requires time to be optimally applied in the Indonesian market.
In the near term, Chery will prioritise strengthening its business foundation before aggressively introducing the premium line.
That focus includes production stability, quality consistency, and building a solid after-sales network.
Once all aspects are deemed ready, Chery will gradually introduce premium brands such as Luxeed and Exeed to the Indonesian market.
“When everything has been built, with a concrete and solid foundation, I think we will introduce our premium brands to the market, including the ones you mentioned earlier (Luxeed and Exeed),” he said.
