Chery officially launches affordable QQ3 EV car

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chinese automaker Chery has officially launched its latest vehicle, which is quite affordable in terms of price and emphasises a minimalist design, namely the QQ3 EV, according to a report from Arena EV on Wednesday local time. This small electric car went on pre-order earlier this month at a price of 68,920 yuan, but during the launch event, the company surprised everyone by announcing an even lower early bird price of just around 58,900 yuan (approximately Rp145 million). This pricing reflects the highly aggressive competition in China’s automotive industry. The Chery QQ3 competes with the Leapmotor A10, which is priced at 65,800 yuan (Rp162 million). This compact car measures 4,195 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width, and 1,573 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. For its mobility, the QQ3 EV comes with a single rear-mounted motor producing 90 kW of power, combined with a 29.48 kWh battery or a 41.28 kWh battery pack. Its fast-charging capability is not exceptional, taking more than 16 minutes to charge from 30 per cent to 80 per cent. The interior cabin offers a 15.6-inch (39.6 cm) central infotainment screen, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip controls everything inside the car. Depending on the trim variant, drivers can also use voice commands.
