Chery deploys 22 authorised workshops to support Eid homecoming in 2026

Jakarta — PT Chery Sales Indonesia is preparing 22 on-standby workshops across various cities during 18–24 March 2026 to support customers’ Eid holiday travel through the Chery Family Care after-sales service programme.

Vice Country Director of Chery Business Unit Budi Darmawan Jantania stated that the company is preparing such services to ensure customers can undertake long-distance travel more safely and comfortably.

“Public interest in hybrid vehicles continues to increase as they offer a combination of fuel efficiency and flexibility for long-distance travel. Chery Super Hybrid technology is designed to deliver efficient driving experience without concerns about range during inter-city journeys such as Eid homecoming,” he said.

The workshop standby programme is part of the after-sales service prepared by the company ahead of the holiday travel rush. A total of 22 Chery authorised dealers across various cities have been prepared to provide technical support to customers travelling during the Eid period.

The participating dealerships include locations in Surabaya, Serpong, Jakarta, Bandung, North Jakarta, Medan, Semarang, Pekanbaru, Bogor, Lampung, Denpasar, Cirebon, Jambi, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Solo, Malang, Padang, Batam, Banjarmasin, and Makassar.

Customers can also access support services through Chery Customer Care, which operates 24 hours a day at 0800-179-7979 if they require assistance during their journey.

The company also offers various vehicle options with diverse powertrain technologies, ranging from conventional engines or internal combustion engine (ICE), battery-based electric vehicles (EV), to Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology.

Some models offered include the Chery Tiggo 8, a conventional-engine SUV designed for long-distance travel with spacious cabin capacity. Additionally, there are electric vehicle models such as the Chery J6, J6T, and E5 that offer energy efficiency for both urban and inter-city mobility.

In the hybrid segment, one model offered is the Chery C5 CSH, which is said to deliver a combined driving range of over 1,000 kilometres in a single energy cycle.
