Cheers for Bahlil at PKB Event, Muhaimin: He Has Many Fans

Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia became the centre of attention at the 28th anniversary celebration of the National Awakening Party (PKB) after receiving a loud cheer from guests. The commotion occurred when PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar mentioned Bahlil’s name during his welcoming speech. Muhaimin was expressing his gratitude to the political party leaders in attendance when the crowd at the plenary hall of the Jakarta Convention Center suddenly erupted in cheers for Bahlil. “It’s serious. It turns out Mr Bahlil has many fans,” Muhaimin said during the event on Thursday. The cheering continued when Muhaimin mentioned a friendly mini-soccer match between the parties. He noted that although PKB had to concede defeat to the Golkar Party team, the spirit of camaraderie remained strong. The event, themed “A New Direction for the Constitutional Economic Mandate”, was also attended by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who arrived at the venue around 7:40 PM Western Indonesia Time.
