Checking Padalarang LPG Refilling Station, Deputy Trade Minister Ensures 3kg LPG Measurements Comply with Regulations
Deputy Trade Minister Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri inspected the LPG Bulk Refilling Station (SPBE) in Padalarang, West Bandung Regency, West Java, on Monday (14/09/2026). The inspection was conducted to ensure that the filling of 3kg LPG distributed to the public complies with the prescribed measurements.
“Today, I am here with Pertamina, visiting the Padalarang SPBE. The primary intention is to monitor, specifically regarding measurements, which falls under the remit of the Ministry of Trade,” said Dyah Roro.
Dyah Roro stated that the Ministry of Trade, alongside the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and PT Pertamina, must ensure that the contents of 3kg LPG distributed to the public are accurate. Supervision is carried out from the filling process until the cylinders are ready for transport and distribution.
“I checked the measurement systems and the tools being used. Everything was found to be in order, starting from the empty gas cylinders, through the filling process, to the final step before they are transported and distributed,” Dyah Roro explained.
According to Dyah Roro, the accuracy of 3kg LPG measurements is a consumer right that must be upheld. Consumers are entitled to receive goods that match the information provided, both in terms of weight and quality.
“This is very important to us because, beyond ensuring the measurements are correct, it is about protecting consumers. Consumers have the right to receive goods that correspond to what is stated, including the weight, quality, and so on,” she added.
Dyah Roro also noted that monitoring of SPBE facilities has been conducted in various regions. Based on the results of these monitoring efforts, the filling of 3kg LPG in more than 700 SPBE facilities was reported to be running without issues and meeting the required measurements by the time they reach consumers.
“We have conducted monitoring across various regions this year, and if I recall correctly, the report indicates 100 per cent no issues. Therefore, from the filling stage to the point it reaches the consumer, the measurements are accurate,” she said.
In addition to the measurements, Dyah Roro confirmed that the availability of 3kg LPG remains secure with no shortages reported. The Ministry of Trade, along with relevant agencies and local governments, continues to supervise the distribution and availability of 3kg LPG for the public.
“God willing, we hope it remains secure. Equally important is ensuring that the contents match what is stated, so that the public is always protected,” Dyah Roro concluded.
