PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Persero is selling Lebaran 2026 travel tickets under the H-45 scheme starting Sunday, 25 January 2026. The Lebaran 2026 travel period runs from 11 March to 1 April. Based on provisional data up to Wednesday morning, 4 March 2026, Lebaran 2026 travel ticket sales have reached 2.1 million out of 4.4 million seats available. ‘There are still around 2.37 million seats that the public can use to plan their mudik or return journeys,’ said Anne Purba, Vice President Corporate Communication of KAI, in a formal statement on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. Meanwhile, KA Lokal has recorded sales of 50,357 tickets from a capacity of 926,936 seats (5.4%). Anne noted that KA Lokal’s occupancy is projected to rise as the departure day approaches, with bookings starting at H-7. The favourite mudik Lebaran train stations are Stasiun Pasarsenen, Stasiun Gambir, and Stasiun Bekasi, which recorded the highest passenger volumes among other stations. ‘Overall, seat availability remains. We urge the public using rail transport to plan their journey and take advantage of dates with lower occupancy,’ added Anne. Anne added that customers can consider alternative departure times, choose different routes, or use the connecting train scheme to obtain travel options that suit their needs.
