Check Recipients and Requirements for Rp 900,000 Wage Subsidy for October-December 2026
The government is once again preparing the 2026 Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) for workers for the fourth quarter, covering the period from October to December 2026. Recipients of the BSU will receive assistance amounting to Rp 900,000 for this period.
The plan for the 2026 BSU distribution was announced by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, following a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (30/9/2026). The assistance is intended for approximately 13.3 million workers, requiring a budget of nearly Rp 12 trillion.
The BSU will be distributed for the months of October, November, and December at a value of Rp 300,000 per month. Consequently, workers receiving the BSU will receive a total assistance of Rp 900,000 for the three-month period.
Who will be the recipients of the 2026 BSU and what are the requirements to obtain it?
Requirements for 2026 BSU Recipients
Although the detailed regulations for 2026 BSU recipients have not yet been released, workers can refer to the provisions applicable during the 2025 BSU distribution. Based on Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 5 of 2025, previous BSU recipients had to meet several criteria, namely:
Indonesian Citizens (WNI) as proven by their National Identity Number (NIK).
Active participants in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan social security programme under the Wage Recipient Worker (PU) category.
Receiving a salary or wage of no more than Rp 3.5 million per month, with specific provisions for regions where the minimum wage (UMP/UMK) exceeds that limit.
Not being a Civil Servant (ASN), member of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), or member of the National Police (Polri).
Priority is given to workers or labourers who are not currently receiving the Family Hope Programme (PKH) in the period before the BSU is distributed.
Please note that the above requirements pertain to the 2025 BSU. For the 2026 BSU, the public must wait for the official government regulations regarding the recipient criteria.
Which Decile is Eligible for 2026 BSU?
Questions regarding deciles have also emerged alongside the 2026 BSU distribution plan. Within the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN) system, the population is grouped into 10 deciles based on their level of welfare.
Deciles 1 to 4 are the priority groups for several social assistance programmes, such as PKH and food assistance. However, there are no official provisions stating that the 2026 BSU is only provided to workers from specific deciles.
In the 2025 BSU distribution, recipient criteria were not determined by decile. One of the conditions stated that BSU recipients were prioritised among workers who were not receiving PKH.
Minister of Manpower Regulation 5 of 2025 also explains that Indonesian citizens currently receiving PKH social assistance are not a priority for BSU. The article states: “The provision of Government Assistance in the form of wage subsidies as referred to in Article 3 paragraph (1) is prioritised for Workers/Labourers who are not currently receiving the Family Hope Programme in the current budget year before the Government Assistance in the form of wage subsidies is distributed,” as per Article 5.
Since the 2026 BSU regulations have not been fully published, workers should not immediately conclude that being in a certain decile automatically makes one a BSU recipient.
How to Check 2026 BSU Recipients
Based on investigations, the government has not yet announced the official mechanism for checking 2026 BSU recipients. However, referring to previous distributions, recipient status can be checked using the National Identity Number (NIK) through the official websites of the Ministry of Manhuman Resources and Labour (Kemnaker) and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
While attempts to access the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan BSU page showed the site was unavailable due to ongoing development or capacity upgrades, the Kemnaker BSU page is accessible. However, the available information still pertains to the 2025 BSU and has not been updated for the 2026 distribution. As a guide, the checking process is as follows:

Enter the 16-digit NIK.
Enter the security code or CAPTCHA.
Click ‘Check Status’.
The system will display the BSU recipient status.
Note that these steps represent the 2025 BSU checking mechanism currently listed on the official Kemnaker website. For the 2026 BSU, workers must wait for the system update and official announcement from Kemnaker.
