Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has assured that the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy for civil servants (ASN) under the provincial government remains in place after the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holidays. This scheme will be implemented from Wednesday, 25 March to Friday, 27 March 2026.

“In line with the central government’s directives on implementing WFA and Work From Home (WFH), the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will execute the policy in accordance with prevailing regulations,” Pramono stated at City Hall on Wednesday (25/3).

Pramono explained that ASN unable to return to physical offices on Wednesday and for the next two days are still permitted to utilise this flexible work scheme. However, he stressed that the policy’s validity is strictly limited. After 27 March, all ASN must resume normal working hours at their respective offices.

Pramono also issued a strong warning to employees attempting to extend holidays without official permission beyond the WFA scheme. Firm sanctions have been prepared for those proven to violate attendance rules.

“ASN who fail to report to work without a clear reason will face sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations. There is no room for disciplinary violations,” Pramono emphasised.

This policy refers to the Circular Letter of the Minister of PANRB Number 2 of 2026 concerning Adjustments to the Implementation of Civil Service Duties for ASN during the National Holidays and Collective Leave for the Sacred Day of Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. Based on those regulations, the WFA period is set for three days, from 25 to 27 March 2026.

The government emphasises that this post-Eid WFA is not an additional holiday day. Both ASN and private sector employees are still required to work according to their respective agency or company policies.

Quoting the official website of the Ministry of PANRB, this WFA arrangement aims to provide work flexibility while ensuring the continuity of government operations and optimal public services after the extended national holiday period.
