Inclusivity has become an important aspect of hotel development. This includes valet parking designed for wheelchair-using drivers, availability of lifts, adjustable-height shower fixtures, easily accessible room interiors, toilet seats at wheelchair height, room and suite doors that close by themselves, and telephones equipped with alarms.

These important interior details are being applied across global hotel groups, including Sheraton. According to its global website, these inclusive facilities make visits easier for people with disabilities, guaranteeing guests’ comfort and safety.

This commitment is one of the key factors emphasised by PT Pollux Hotels Group Tbk, which is collaborating with PT Inovasi Karyadinamika on the interior design for the construction of Four Points by Sheraton hotels in various cities in West Java.

The agreement was signed by Kustiadi, Commissioner of PT Inovasi Karyadinamika; Savitri, Director of PT Inovasi Karyadinamika; Handojo Koentoro Setyadi, President Director of PT Pollux Hotels Group Tbk; and Teny Siti Febryani, Chief Commissioner of PT Pollux Hotels Group Tbk.

The initial phase of the project will cover 109 rooms, followed by work on public areas including the lobby, all-day dining, and café. The scope of work covers interior elements ranging from floors, walls and ceilings to furniture. The initial phase is targeted for completion by the end of 2026.

Previously, the company succeeded in maintaining its idAAA(cg) or Triple A rating from PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo) for its 2025 Series A and Series B Sustainability Bonds I. The rating is also linked to the integration of the highest financial compliance and the achievement of strict environmental, social and governance (ESG) targets, one of which is the implementation of inclusivity.

According to UN Tourism standards, the hallmarks of a disability-friendly hotel refer to the principles of Accessible Tourism for All and the international standard ISO 21902. These include the availability of ramps with safe gradients, as well as doors and circulation space in rooms and toilets, and toilet and bed heights that are friendly to wheelchair users.
