Charity event for JSX bombings victims

JAKARTA (JP): A competitive charity event, dubbed Jakarta's
Biggest Golf Charity Day, will be held on Tuesday at Klub Golf
Cengkareng course in West Jakarta to raise funds for families and
victims in last month's bombing at the Jakarta Stock Exchange
building (JSX).

In a statement, the organizers predicted that at least 140 top
businessmen will join the event.

The event, which will include dinner and auction, is expected
to collect at least Rp 500 million to help families of the dead
victims and those injured in the Sept. 13 blast.

The organizers said many people have confirmed their
participation in the event, jointly sponsored by Ernst & Young,
Allianz, Four Seasons, Arthur Andersen, Excelcomindo, ABN-Amro,
Merrill Lynch, Zeneca/Novartis, DHL, Soemadipradja and Taher
(Freehills), Maxus, Halliburton, Vinotti Living, Rothchilds and
PricewaterhouseCoopers. (lup)
