TANGERANG: Lecturers and a students choir of Pelita Harapan University (UPH) in cooperation with the Indonesian Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation and some local sopranos and tenors will play classical numbers in a charity concert at the Lippo Karawaci complex here on Thursday evening.

About 1,200 expected guests will be entertained with pieces such as W. A. Mozart's Le nozze de Figaro, Giuseppe Verdi's Nabucco, George Bizet's Carmen and Giacomo Puccini's Tosca.

The 90-minute concert will open with Verdi's La Travlata with singers including UPH rector Johannes Oentoro, who will show the quality of his tenor voice.

According to organizer Meilva Pohan, funds raised from the concert will go to Lentera Harapan School's Aid Project for Education.--JP
