Charged with Multiple Articles, Four TNI Soldiers Face Military Trial in Andrie Yunus Case
The Military Prosecutor’s Office II-07 Jakarta has charged four TNI soldiers with multiple articles in the case of the acid attack on Andrie Yunus, Deputy Coordinator of KontraS. The case file has been submitted to the Military Court II-08 Jakarta on Thursday (16/4/2026). Several charges have been applied: “This case file has met the formal and material requirements, so we can process it and turn it into the prosecutor’s opinion minutes and the legal opinion letter from the Chief Military Judge,” said the Head of Military Prosecutor’s Office II-07 Jakarta, Colonel Corps of Law (Chk) Andri Wijaya, during a press conference at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta on Thursday morning. Based on Kompas.com’s observations, the Military Prosecutor’s team arrived at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta around 09:34 WIB, carrying a large cardboard box suspected to contain the case file. This case involves four TNI BAIS soldiers, namely Captain Nandala Dwi Prasetia (NDP), First Lieutenant Sami Lakka (SL), First Lieutenant Budhi Hariyanto Widhi (BHW), and Sergeant Edi Sudarko (ES). As a result of the acid splashing, Andrie screamed in pain and fell from his motorbike. Nearby residents then provided assistance, while the perpetrators fled towards Jalan Salemba Raya. Medical examination results showed that Andrie suffered injuries to his right eye and burns covering about 20 percent of his body due to the acid splashing. This case also resulted in the resignation of the TNI BAIS Head, Yudi Abrimantyo, as a form of accountability amid public spotlight.
