Chaos! Petrol Prices in This Indonesian Neighbour Skyrocket to Rp43,300 per Litre
Several countries in Southeast Asia are beginning to raise their fuel prices. This is inseparable from the geopolitical conflict in the Middle East, particularly the war involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
For example, in Singapore, the average fuel price for petrol reaches US2.545perlitreorRp43, 308perlitre(exchangerateRp17, 017/US). Meanwhile, diesel fuel reaches US$2.978 per litre or Rp50,676 per litre.
In contrast to other Southeast Asian countries, the Indonesian government has decided to hold domestic fuel prices steady, applying not only to subsidised fuel but also to non-subsidised fuel.
Take, for instance, Pertamina’s fuel products at petrol stations, where the price of RON 92 or Pertamax fuel on 1 April remains Rp12,300 per litre. Then Pertamax Green or RON 95 remains Rp12,900 per litre.
This also applies to Pertamax Turbo, which remains Rp13,100 per litre. Then Dexlite remains Rp14,200 per litre. And Pertamina Dex remains Rp14,500 per litre.
As for Pertamina’s subsidised fuels, such as RON 90 or Pertalite, it remains Rp10,000 per litre. Similarly, Subsidised Solar remains the same at Rp6,800 per litre.
