Chaos! Pekalongan Regent's Family Company Secures Tenders Throughout 2025
Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has announced that the Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq’s family-owned company won tenders for goods and services across 21 regional government work units (SKPD) within the Pekalongan Regency during 2025. During 2025, PT RNB (Raja Nusantara Berdaya or the family company of Fadia Arafiq) dominated government procurement projects in Pekalongan Regency by handling outsourcing services (tenaga alih daya), according to Asep Guntur Rahayu, Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at the KPK, at the Merah Putih Building of the KPK in Jakarta, quoted on Thursday, 5 March 2026. Asep explained that the 21 SKPD comprise 17 departments, three regional general hospitals, and one kecamatan (district). Earlier, on 3 March 2026, the KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq together with aides and confidants in the Semarang area, Central Java. The KPK subsequently announced the arrest of 11 more people from Pekalongan, Central Java. This round of arrests formed part of the KPK’s seventh arrest operation (OTT) in 2026 and coincided with the Ramadan month. On 4 March 2026, the KPK named Fadia Arafiq as the sole suspect in a case of alleged corruption related to outsourcing services procurement or manpower outsourcing, and other procurements within the Pekalongan Regency Government for the 2023-2026 fiscal year.
