The left-hand lane along Jl. Buncit Raya in South Jakarta,
particularly in front of the immigration office, floods when it
rains because of the numerous large potholes along this section
of road. This makes it difficult for motorcycles, which are
required to remain in this lane.

No wonder that many motorcycles enter the main street in order
to avoid the flooding. However, this is a violation and the
police always order these straying motorcycles back into their
lane.

For the sake of fairness, the police should also do something
about the numerous cars parked in the left-hand lane, while the
public works office should repair the damaged road.
