Changan Launches Nevo Sub-Brand in Indonesia, Q05 Priced from Rp309 Million
Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA) - Changan Indonesia has officially introduced its new sub-brand, Nevo, to the Indonesian market with the launch of the compact electric SUV Nevo Q05 at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 at ICE BSD, Tangerang, on Wednesday.
The arrival of Nevo completes Changan’s strategy, which now has two electrified vehicle sub-brands targeting different segments: Changan Deepal for the premium market and Changan Nevo, which targets a broader consumer base with more competitive pricing.
CEO of Changan Indonesia Setiawan Surya said Nevo was designed to meet the needs of consumers who want a functional electric vehicle without compromising on comfort and features.
The Changan Nevo Q05 is being offered at special prices of Rp309 million for the Pro variant and Rp359 million for the Max variant for the first 1,000 customers. Setiawan also revealed that the Nevo Q05 sold in Indonesia has been assembled locally, otherwise known as Completely Knocked Down (CKD).
“It is already CKD; we assemble it at our plant in Purwakarta, and production has started,” he said.
The electric SUV is also equipped with various features such as app-based connectivity, voice control, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), and 25 Intelligent Driving & Active Safety Assistance functions. In terms of practicality, the Nevo Q05 offers a boot capacity of 540 litres, expandable to 1,380 litres when the second-row seats are folded.
“We certainly want deliveries to customers to happen as quickly as possible, but it is still in process, because this is a new product, we need adjustments, and we need to make sure the product is truly ready before releasing it to the market. But it won’t be long — if possible by the end of this month, we want it this month, we want it as soon as possible,” he said.
