Changan Deepal SO5 Priced from Rp509 Million in Indonesia

PT Changan Automobile Indonesia has officially announced pricing for its latest model, the Deepal SO5, which is available in two variants: Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV), starting from Rp509 million. “We are proud to announce the pricing for the Deepal SO5, which comes in two options, BEV and REEV, for the Indonesian market,” said Changan Indonesia CEO Setiawan Surya during the price launch in Jakarta on Tuesday. He added that the announced pricing is a special offer for the first 500 customers, making it the best moment to acquire a vehicle presented by Changan for Indonesia. The REEV variant features a 27.28 kWh battery and a 1,500cc petrol engine, capable of travelling more than 1,100 km. Meanwhile, the BEV variant is equipped with a 68.8 kWh battery offering a range of up to 470 km based on NEDC calculations. The pure electric variant produces a maximum output of 200 kW and 290 Nm of torque, while the REEV variant delivers up to 160 kW and 320 Nm of torque. In electric vehicle mode, the REEV can cover up to 170 km, allowing most daily mobility needs to be met without activating the petrol engine. Visually, both variants appear nearly identical, though the REEV has two slots on the right and left sides for charging and refuelling, whereas the BEV has only one slot. The vehicle features an exterior design blending modern and functional elements, with a front inspired by spacecraft wings and sides equipped with frameless doors and electric door handles to enhance the premium impression. Inside, it boasts a 15.4-inch central control screen with ‘sunflower screen’ technology, which can rotate up to 15 degrees towards either the driver or front passenger. The official pricing for the Changan Deepal SO5 BEV Plus variant is Rp509 million, with a normal price of Rp529 million; the BEV Max variant is priced at Rp539 million, with a normal price of Rp559 million; and the REEV Max is priced at Rp599 million, with a normal price reaching Rp619 million.
