Chinese automotive manufacturer Changan has officially marked its presence in the Indonesian automotive market by participating in the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2026 (GIIAS 2026). This represents Changan’s first appearance at Southeast Asia’s largest automotive exhibition.

In its debut, Changan is moving aggressively by presenting a comprehensive range of electrified vehicles. This move is intended to address the increasing demand among the Indonesian public for diverse, environmentally friendly mobility options.

Setiawan Surya, CEO of Changan Indonesia, stated that this inaugural participation is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen brand awareness while providing a wider range of electric vehicle options for local consumers.

“At GIIAS 2026, Changan is presenting a complete product line, ranging from the Changan Lumin, Deepal S07, and Deepal S05, to the Nevo Q05 as the newest member of our electric SUV family. We hope consumers can find a variety of electrification products that suit their mobility needs,” said Setiawan at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, on Thursday (30/7).

Occupying a 1,000-square-metre area in Hall 3A, Changan is showcasing a total of 13 vehicle units. The Nevo Q05 serves as the main highlight, introduced to complete Changan’s electrification portfolio in Indonesia. In addition to the display, Changan is providing six test-drive units, including the Nevo Q05, Deepal S05 (both REEV and BEV variants), Deepal S07, and the Lumin, allowing visitors to experience the driving performance firsthand.

Throughout the exhibition, which runs from 30 July to 9 August 2026, Changan is focusing not only on products but also on interactive activities. Visitors can participate in electric vehicle-themed games and educational activities designed specifically for families.

From a commercial perspective, Changan is offering various incentives for potential buyers, including zero-percent interest programmes, low down payments starting from 15 per cent, instalment payment schemes, as well as direct gifts and lucky draw programmes for transactions made during the exhibition.

Changan’s presence at GIIAS 2026 intensifies competition within the Indonesian electric vehicle segment and reaffirms the commitment of global manufacturers to supporting the acceleration of the domestic electrification ecosystem.
