Champion Kartika SC dominates championships

JAKARTA (JP): Defending champion Kartika Shooting Club dominated the second day of the Inter-Club National Championships at the Bung Karno Shooting Range in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, taking six gold medals.

Parwanto won the first gold of the day for Kartika in the men's air rifle individual event, with a score of 669.4 points. Thomas Leo of Bimantara finished in second place with 663.6 points, followed by Hermirad Lisapaly of Timor with a score of 571.

Parwanto, Sahurun and Agus gave Kartika its second gold by winning the men's air rifle team event with a total score of 1,684. Parwanto had a score of 575, followed by Sahurun with 560 and Agus with 549.

The silver went to the Timor team, which finished with 1,683, just one point behind Kartika. Hermirad Lisapaly led Timor with 571 points, followed by Adri Maulana (563) and Eko Kristianto (549). Bimantara SC took the bronze with a score of 1,683, led by Thomas Leo (567), Rudy Permana (563) and Oscar Haidar (553).

Kartika shooters also dominated the rapid-fire pistol individual and team events. Iriantoni scored a total of 642 points to win the individual event, followed by teammate Joko Wisunu with 632.8 points and Andy Hendrata of Bimantara in third with 631.5.

In the team event, Iriantoni shot a 551, Joko Wisunu scored 545 and Heri K. 530 for a total of 1,626 points to hand Kartika its fourth gold of the day.

Bimantara finished in second with the 1,507 points earned by Andy Hendrata (544), Edi Purnama I.S. (522) and Hans Wibowo (441).

East Java Police grabbed third place with a total of 1,495 points. Syahroni led the team with 507 points, Andi Suherman had 500 and Bambang S.P. 488.

Kartika's domination was also clear in the free pistol individual and team events. Sarozawato Zai won the individual event with a score of 626.6, edging out Tri Sujoko of Bimantara, who finished with 621.1 points, and teammate Mauludi at 603.4.

In the team event, Kartika collected a total of 1,548 points from (515), Sutadi (519) and Sholeh (514). Second place was grabbed by Bimantara SC with 1,436 points from Zaenal Saleh (509), Firtian J.S. (509) and Laurensius (418). Finishing third was Timor SC with 1,426 points from Richard Hendarmo (497), Darwin Nasution (479) and Pandu Pramarta (450).

Shooters from Telkom dominated the beginner's air rifle hunting individual and team events.

Biyantoro of Telkom won the individual event with 512 points, followed by Syaiful of Brawijaya with 507 and Madrofi of Baroba with 499.

In the team event, Telkom shooters were victorious with 1,461 points from Biyantoro (512), Setyo Budiono (491) and Imam (458). Baroba secured second place with 1,405 from Saridi (459), Kustoyo (447) and Madrofi (499). Third place went to Anugerah with 1,280 points from Firman (444), Andi (429) and Sukamto (407).

Shooters will compete in the women's sport pistol, men's air pistol, women's sport rifle prone and men's free rifle prone events on Friday. (nvn)
