Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly says Saudi Arabia's Hajj services are continually improving

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), Ahmad Muzani, has said that the Hajj services provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Indonesian pilgrims have continued to improve.

‘Alhamdulillah, all Hajj services provided by the Government of Saudi Arabia to Indonesian pilgrims, we feel there is improvement, enhancement, and higher quality each year,’ Muzani said at the departure ceremony for Hajj pilgrims invited as guests of King Salman in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He said that the improvement in services greatly assists Indonesian pilgrims in undertaking the entire series of Hajj rites in the Holy Land. He also expressed thanks to the Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi, for the Saudi Government's attention to Indonesian pilgrims, whose numbers increase each year.

He added that the improvement of Hajj services is part of the close relationship between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, also voiced appreciation for the additional Hajj quotas that Saudi Arabia continues to provide each year.

‘I would like to thank Ambassador Faisal and the Government of Saudi Arabia for continuing to provide additional Hajj quotas,’ he said.

The Hajj guest invitation programme is a direct directive from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) to provide ease, services, and the best facilities for Indonesian figures performing Hajj.

This Hajj programme is also part of the Saudi Government's commitment to improving the quality of Hajj services for Muslims around the world, including Indonesia.

This year, as many as 42 Indonesian nationals from various backgrounds and regions received invitations as guests of King Salman to perform Hajj.

They were dispatched to the Holy Land on Tuesday night (19/5), and will return to the homeland on 3 June 2026.
