Bengkulu - The Chairman of the DPD RI, Sultan B Najamudin, has urged students and the younger generation to prepare themselves to face the challenges leading towards Golden Indonesia 2045.

“If we (the younger generation, students) have planning (by design) by plan, we should be ready. Golden Indonesia 2045 is already close, nearly 20 years away. But we cannot detach from it; indeed, the key lies in the younger generation, in the students,” said Sultan B Najamudin in Bengkulu on Monday.

He stated that students must increasingly build confidence and training to be able to become part of Indonesia’s Golden Generation in the future.

“Young siblings must enhance your self-confidence and not feel defeated in competition; wherever in the country, no matter how large, our quality is equal, do not feel inferior,” he added.

Sultan also urged students to start planning their future with clear strategies so they can achieve life goals in a more directed and measurable manner.

“Do not leave your future to nature (fate) anymore; it must be planned,” said Sultan while motivating students at Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu.

The Chairman of the DPD RI also emphasised that success requires sacrifice and a long process, so students must build discipline and a spirit of learning from an early stage.

Furthermore, he stated that universities play a crucial role in maintaining quality, presenting critiques, ideas, and solutions, as well as preparing skilled students ready to reach the pinnacle of Golden Indonesia 2045.

Sultan also assessed that universities have an important role as spaces for forming generations, places for democratic discussions, and centres for civilisational change.
