Chairman of DPR Commission XIII Requests Discussion of BPIP Bill in His Commission

Ladies and gentlemen, we are also preparing to discuss the Draft Law on BPIP, which we are currently awaiting the DIM from the government,” said Willy while opening a meeting with BPIP at Commission XIII of the DPR, DPR RI, Jakarta, on Monday (13/4/2026).

Willy also requested that this RUU BPIP be discussed in Commission XIII of the DPR in the future. According to him, BPIP is a partner of Commission XIII of the DPR.

“Although this is initiated by the Legislation Body, because BPIP is our partner, we have discussed left and right so that this can be discussed in Commission XIII. So let’s make it straightforward, Prof, so it doesn’t go anywhere,” he said.

In addition, Willy views the RUU BPIP as important to be discussed by Commission XIII of the DPR and BPIP so that the objectives of its formation can be achieved.

“So that it connects between what is the trajectory of BPIP with its own partner, like that. So that then this is one breath of what becomes the trajectory of BPIP with its own partner, so that then this is one breath. That is what becomes our agenda from morning to afternoon today,” he stated.

Until now, the meeting with BPIP is still ongoing. Members of Commission XIII of the DPR are currently posing questions to BPIP.
