Chairman of DPR Commission III Appreciates Polri for Uncovering Subsidised Fuel-LPG Diversion Case
The Chairman of DPR Commission III, Habiburokhman, has appreciated the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) for uncovering cases of diversion of subsidised fuel (BBM) and LPG that harm the state. Habiburokhman praised the success of Polri in revealing 755 such diversion cases.
“We highly appreciate the National Police, particularly the Directorate of Specific Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, for successfully dismantling 755 crime scenes involving the diversion of subsidised BBM and LPG across Indonesia from 2025 to April 2026, with a total of 672 suspects arrested,” Habiburokhman told reporters on Wednesday (8/4/2026).
Habiburokhman assessed that the uncovering of these cases represents the National Police’s commitment to protecting society and safeguarding state finances. He described this as a major case.
“We emphasise that the National Police’s actions constitute a tangible form and commitment to protecting public rights and shielding state finances from illegal practices that harm the people,” he said.
“This is evidence of the police apparatus’s seriousness in enforcing the law and ensuring that subsidy programmes for the public are targeted appropriately,” he added.
