CGV Cinemas Partners with Make-A-Wish Indonesia for National Children's Day Film Event
In commemoration of National Children’s Day 2026, CGV Cinemas Indonesia has once again presented a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. In collaboration with Make-A-Wish Indonesia, the activity provided a warm cinema experience for hundreds of children and families at CGV Grand Indonesia on Wednesday (22/7).
Participants included wish children, wish alumni, volunteers, and chaperones. They were invited to enjoy various interactive activities, from decorating bungeoppang, a fish-shaped pastry, and doughnuts to watching a children’s film in the SCREENX auditorium, which offers a 270-degree panoramic viewing experience.
CGV Cinemas Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Mark Nah stated that the company aims to offer more than just a film screening. He noted that a cinema can also serve as a space to foster togetherness and create lasting memories for children and their families.
“Through the CGV Cares for Children initiative, we want to provide a day full of happiness and meaningful experiences for children. We hope CGV can continue to be a space for both entertainment and learning that benefits more Indonesian children,” Mark said.
The film screened featured the adventures of Moana, carrying messages about courage, hope, and the spirit to face challenges. Through the story, children were encouraged to believe in their own abilities and to keep pursuing their dreams.
Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Make-A-Wish Indonesia Julienne Sunarjo conveyed that the National Children’s Day celebration serves as a moment to remind everyone that every child deserves a childhood filled with happiness and hope. CGV currently manages 73 cinemas with 416 screens across more than 30 cities in Indonesia.
