Bandung (ANTARA) - The certification allowance for thousands of lecturers under the Higher Education Service Agency (LLDIKTI) Region IV in West Java and Banten is now assured to be disbursed through Bank Jabar Banten (BJB). The certainty of channelling the allowance through more integrated banking services, promised to be carried out on time, accurately targeted, and in the correct amount, follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bank BJB and LLDIKTI IV at the Bank BJB Tower in Bandung on Wednesday. Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Herfinia, in a statement in Bandung on Wednesday, explained that this strategic step serves as a breath of fresh air for educators, with the initial phase in 2026 channelling certification allowances to 131 lecturers at 44 universities, with the potential reach set to expand continuously. “The synergy with Bank BJB is a concrete step in integrating banking services into more efficient and transparent higher education governance,” said Herfinia. Not only limited to the disbursement of allowances, she continued, the scope of this collaboration encompasses a comprehensive campus financial ecosystem. This includes payroll services, fund placements in current accounts, savings, up to deposits, as well as pension funds through the Financial Institution Pension Fund (DPLK). Bank BJB also opens access to special credit facilities for employees and lecturers within LLDIKTI Region IV. In the future, this cooperation is projected not only to touch on lecturers’ welfare but also to extend to broader academic aspects to support the quality of higher education delivery in West Java and Banten. “This cooperation has the potential to be developed further, such as channelling research grant funds up to student scholarships,” Herfinia stated.
