Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has apparently identified the cause of the sluggish Coretax system. According to him, there are naughty subordinates or elements colluding with a vendor whose contract was previously terminated by the Ministry of Finance because it was deemed inadequate in managing the smoothness of the Coretax system. It turns out that this dismissed vendor was secretly reintroduced without his knowledge, causing the system to slow down again. “There is a contract with one vendor that we had terminated because of its slow service, and it was slipped back in secretly,” he stated. However, at present, no one is admitting to the deed that has been done. “Now they are not admitting who inserted it. Later, I will check again who inserted that vendor. We will take action,” Purbaya asserted firmly. In addition, he described the Coretax design as odd because its interface is not simple but tends to be complicated. It turns out this was intentional so that it could be sold to other companies. “The Coretax design is a bit strange. When it’s new, it should be made with a direct interface to the public so it’s easy, right? It turns out it was made somewhat complicated, so there’s an intermediary application in the middle. Someone is selling this to big companies,” he explained.
